Al-Masad سُورَةُ المَسَدِ
The Palm Fibre

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِIn the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ ﴿1﴾
The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ ﴿2﴾
His wealth and gains will not exempt him.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ ﴿3﴾
He will be plunged in flaming Fire,

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ ﴿4﴾
And his wife, the wood-carrier,

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ ﴿5﴾
Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre.
